For those who walk off the main tracks on Dartmoor, gorse can be a problem for dogs to cross. We are going to try wearing some boots on 2nd April. They are now happy walking in their new boots. I got them out the packet and put them on. Bugsy being a puppy just ignored his, but Lizzie and Pluto tried to walk lifting feet right up in the air and all sorts of contorsions - until I got the leads out - Suddenly they could walk in them after all. I guess the initial silly walk was not that they were hard to walk in, but that they were trying to get them off. Once on the lead they seemed to forget they had them on - walkies is much more important than making a fuss about wearing boots. I got my dog boots from Pro-Active Paws. They even made a special fit for Bugsy. | |
